Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 8, 2026  ·  BevOps Connect is operated by The Web People Inc.

The short version: BevOps Connect does not collect your credentials or transmit data without your knowledge. In Standalone mode, everything stays in your browser. In BevOps Integration mode, PO and order data is intentionally sent to your BevOps endpoint as the core feature of that mode.

1. What BevOps Connect Does Not Do

2. How the Extension Works

BevOps Connect is a Microsoft Edge browser extension that runs exclusively within your local browser. It reads and interacts with the LCBO Vendor Gateway pages that you have already opened and authenticated. In Standalone mode, all processing happens locally on your device and no order data is transmitted externally. In BevOps Integration mode, the Extension communicates with your configured BevOps endpoint to enable order imports, live PO status, and shipment batching — see Section 4 below.

3. License Key Verification

When you enter your license key, the Extension makes a single request to our licensing server to verify that your key is valid and associated with an active subscription. This request transmits only your license key. The server response returns the vendor codes associated with your license — your vendor codes are not uploaded from your device. No browsing data, PO data, or credentials are transmitted during license verification.

4. BevOps Integration Mode

If you use BevOps Connect in BevOps Integration mode (connecting the Extension to a BevOps ERP endpoint), PO numbers and order data from the LCBO Gateway are transmitted to your configured BevOps endpoint. This is an intentional and core feature of that mode — it enables automatic order imports, live PO status, and shipment batching within BevOps.

This data is sent directly to your own BevOps instance and is governed by your BevOps subscription agreement. Users running the Extension in Standalone mode (no BevOps endpoint configured) do not have any order data transmitted externally.

5. Subscription Data (via PayPal)

When you subscribe, your payment is processed by PayPal. We receive your name, email address, and subscription status from PayPal solely for the purpose of managing your subscription and issuing your license key. We do not store full payment card details. For information on how PayPal handles your data, please refer to PayPal's Privacy Policy.

6. Data We Store

We retain the following minimal information to operate your subscription:

This information is stored securely and is used only to manage your account. It is never sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

7. Cookies & Local Storage

The BevOps Connect marketing website (this page) may use standard browser cookies for session management. No third-party advertising or tracking cookies are set. The Extension itself may store your license key in your browser's local extension storage so you do not need to re-enter it each session. This data never leaves your device.

8. Children's Privacy

BevOps Connect is a business tool intended for use by adults in the licensed beverage alcohol industry. We do not knowingly collect information from individuals under the age of 18.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Extension after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
